Sensory:Citrus, ripe pear and green apple nose. Hints of ripe peach as wine opens with a touch of oak and mineral. Vineyards and Growing Season:
The Spring Mountain vineyard is 1700 feet above the Napa floor in the Mayacames Mountain range. Its 180 acres are on the site of the Conradi vineyard dating back to the 19th century. Winemaking:
The grapes are hand harvested and de-stemmed then gently pressed. Twenty percent of the juice is fermented in stainless steel tanks while 80% is fermented and aged in French and American oak barrels. No secondary or Malolactic fermentation is carried out leading to its crisp citrus character. The portion of Chardonnay fermented in barrels was left on it's lees and stirred weekly. Its bottled after 7 months. Price per Bottle: $50.00
